With nominations now open for electoral positions into the executive committee of the Confederation of Africa (CAF), the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has unanimously approved and endorsed for its president, Amaju Pinnick to vie for any elective position.

Pinnick is in the current CAF board that came into office in March 2017. Another election is due to hold 0n 12 March 2021 in Rabat, Morocco.

It is not clear if Pinnick will take a shot at the presidency, but the endorsement offered him by the NFF left him to take any position that he deemed appropriate.

Already, Sports Village Square can confirm that two candidates have emerged from Tunisia for the post of president while the incumbent has remained silence on whether he would like to renew his mandate.

The two candidates from Tunisia are FIFA Council member, Tarek Bouchamaoui  and  Wadie Jary the current head of Tunisia Football Federation.

The NFF seems to be encouraging its president to also join the race. The Executive Committee at its meeting praised Pinnick for the adroit and efficient leadership he has been provided for navigating the rather difficult terrain of Nigeria football administration for the past six years.

It enjoined all stakeholders to fully support him in the upcoming CAF & FIFA elections.
