Former Super Eagles’ player and later coach, Austin Eguavoen has been appointed as the Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
He steps in as a successor to Bitrus Bewarang. His appointment was announced in a communiqué that was issued after the video conference meeting of the NFF board.
Eguavoen who was the on-field captain when the Super Eagles lifted the Africa Cup of Nations in 1994 will work with the Paul Aigbogun who is also appointed as the Deputy Director, Technical & Scouting.
Other appointments announced include that of Terry Babatunde Eguaoje as Consultant on Coaching & Development, Abdulrafiu Yusuf as Assistant Director, Coaching & Development and Siji Lagunju as Assistant Director, Training & Development.
Former Super Eagles’ midfielder, Garba Lawal is the new Chief Technical Officer of the NFF. The appointments are with immediate effect.
