FOOTBALL ACADEMY, PADDYSCO, RELOCATES TO ODION IGHALO ARENA

The newly inaugurated sporting facility named Odion Ighalo 02 Arena in Ajegunle suburb of Lagos already has a tenant.

One of the bourgeoning football academies in Lagos, Paddysco Sports Academy has already indicated interest in using the facility which was last week commissioned by Lagos State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social development, Segun Dawodu.

Founder of the Paddysco Sports Academy, Peter Okerere revealed that a formal agreement has been reached to make the new edifice a home ground for interested people willing to join the academy. 

Okereke, stated that despite having training centres and branches in locations like Festac, Ikorodu, Lekki, Ota, Abuja and Kogi State, the academy has come to stay in Ajegunle, a town known for producing some of the best stars in Nigeria football history. 

The Odion Ighalo O2 Arena boasts of standard astro-turf pitch and is located inside the Tolu Nursery Primary School, where many famous Nigerian players of Ajegunle heritage used as their nursery.

The arena is named after former Super-Eagles and Manchester striker, Odion Jude Ighalo, for his benevolence and works that touched lives of the people of Ajegunle in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area in Lagos. .

“I’m happy to announce that we now have a branch in Ajegunle area of Lagos. It’s a dream come true to have a training centre in an environment which has produced unlimited soccer stars.
