It is being speculated in Barcelona that the president of the club and the board members might just be employing delay tactics to avert a referendum that may lead to a vote of no confidence.

The board, according to Spanish outlet, La Vanguardia, have filed a complaint to the Civil Guard about forgery of signatures in the vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu and his board.

The club states that they have found at least 300 signatures whose authenticity is in doubt. Thus, they suppose that there might be more blocks of non-authentic votes.

Meanwhile, the motion of no confidence has already reached the required number of votes to trigger a referendum which would decide whether the president should be dismissed.

According to the latest update from Cat Radio, 19,380 votes have been validated, 1,103 have been declared invalid and 219 are still being checked
