Manchester United’s main transfer target and England international, Jadon Sancho has been spotted this Monday in the UK on the transfer deadline day.
But according to London’s Daily Mirror, it is unlikely that Sancho will be swapping Borussia Dortmund for Manchester.
The 20-year-old is reportedly in London ahead of the international break. Sancho is expected to meet up with Gareth Southgate and his England team-mates on Monday, before the Three Lions’ matches against Wales, Belgium and Denmark.
The youngster was also in London to attend a party thrown for Tammy Abraham’s birthday.
According to numerous reports, Sancho’s presence at the party has infuriated Dortmund as footage showed coronavirus restrictions were not being adhered to.
Sancho has been out of action for Dortmund recently, and was forced to miss the club’s German Super Cup defeat by Bayern Munich.
The forward had been suffering with a respiratory infection, but was tested for coronavirus and returned a negative result. He has since recovered from the infection, enabling him to travel to the UK for England duty.
Sancho has long been a Manchester United transfer target, with the Red Devils hopeful they would get their man going into the transfer window.
But Dortmund have been resilient throughout the process, setting out their demands to United every step of the way.
BVB knew early on United were interested in their prized asset and informed the club they would need to meet their £108million valuation by August 10.
United missed the self-imposed deadline, and Dortmund chief Michael Zorc confirmed there and then the transfer would not be happening.
Sancho is still believed to be keen on United, but unless the Red Devils stump up the cash – as Dortmund are showing no signs of wavering – then the deal will not take place.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co. have turned their attention to other targets in recent weeks with Ousmane Dembele and Edinson Cavani among them.
