FC Barcelona reject, Luis Suarez has returned to limbo as his prospective move to Serie A side, Juventus appears to be heading for the rock.

It has come to light that Juventus cannot sign the Uruguayan player because he won’t obtain his Italian passport in time a Juventus director, Fabio Paratici has reportedly revealed.

Furthermore, Spanish publication, Tribuna quotedParatici, who was also a former footballer as saying that ‘Luis was never close to joining the Bianconeri.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are working on signing the striker if Barca let him leave for free.

Luis Suarez is not on our list. He’s not a target for Juventus. He’ll not have the Italian passport during the transfer window so we can’t sign him.

“We considered Suarez as an option but he was not close to joining,” Juve director Fabio Paratici has told Sky Sports.

Fabrizio Romano adds that Atletico Madrid are working on landing the Uruguayan if Barcelona agree to let him leave for free.

However, it seems like Suarez is not that keen to leave, as he has recently rejected a €7m offer from the Catalans to terminate his contract. According to the report, people within the club think that Luis wants to stay at Camp Nou as he’s got one more year left on his contract.
