The end of the road appears very close for the embattled president of FC Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu.

A group of anti-Bartomeu men, called ‘Mes que una Mocio’ group, who started the vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu, have announced that their initiative has gathered 7,500 signatures as of Tuesday, September 8.

Now they need to get 8,500 votes more to reach the required 16,000 number by the September 16 deadline. The vote of no confidence aimed at dethroning the current Barcelona president has already been backed by presidential candidates Victor Font, Jordi Farre and Lluis Fernandes Ala.

As a reminder, Bartomeu survived a motion of no confidence back in 2017 Agusti Benedito failed to collect the required number of signatures.

The notorious president could resign by the end of the month.
