MESSI’S FATHER DENIES GUARDIOLA & MAN CITY LINKS

Even as the world await the outcome of the scheduled meeting of Lionel Messi’s father, Jorge Messi and the president of FC Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, the former has denied any link of his son with either Pep Guardiola or Manchester City.

Jorge Messi told El Chiringuito publication that his son had not contacted Pep Guardiola yet. He however admitted that it would be difficult for Lionel Messi to continue at Barcelona.

“I don’t know [about City], there is nothing. I didn’t talk to Pep [Guardiola,” Jorge Messi was quoted as saying.

Manchester City are believed to be the main contenders to land Messi as they have reportedly offered  him a cosmic three-year deal worth €750m with an opportunity to finish his career in the American  Major League Soccer.
