Manchester United will show off next season’s home kit when they take on LASK in the Europa League on Wednesday
The kit will be the Red Devils’ home kit for the upcoming season which will see them participate in the Champions League after securing a top four finish.
The design maintains the iconic red colour while including the club’s name woven into the print, visible through the use of different red tones.
United’s badge takes on a new design with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer placing a huge onus on the “ Manchester United DNA”
Adidas’ Design Director Inigo Turner has said: “For this season, we researched the values and iconography that connect athlete and fan, and looked to fuse these with modernity and innovation, to create something that connects the people and stands for unity.
“We pretty quickly landed on the crest as it is the representation of the heart
and passion of the club, it is symbolic and iconic across the world. It is significant as the first component added to each design, and one that makes up the threads of the
shirt design for the 2020/21 season.”
The kit also features white shorts and black socks.
United will head into their Europa League clash against the Austrian side with a 5-0 advantage.
Their win over LASK was their last game before lockdown back in March.
Should they, as is expected, progress into the quarter finals they will face either Copenhagen or newly crowned Turkish champions İstanbul Başakşehir.
Both the Europa League and Champions League have been condensed due to the prolonged seasons across Europe.
It means the final, which is at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne, will be on August 21.
