Former World Cup winner with Brazil and Barcelona legend, Ronaldinho may soon be released from house arrest in Paraguay.
He has been accused of money laundering after entering Paraguay with fake documents in early March. But the whole saga appears nearing an end, as the case is reportedly90 per cent completed and the prosecution failed to build on the initial allegations on potential money laundering.
It means Ronaldinho and his brother Roberto would be free to return to Brazil after almost five months in Paraguay.
The two were jailed in Asuncion on 5th March for trying to enter the country using fake passports. They had spent 33 days in prison until the $1.6m bail money arrived. Since then, the FC Barcelona legend has been placed under house arrest in a hotel in the same city.
