Both Esperance of Tunisia and Egyptian side Zamalek have arrived in Doha ahead of their Friday clash in the CAF Super Cup.

The Cairo-based club was the first to touch down in the Qatari capital in the afternoon and were met at the airport by officials of the Local Organising Committee (LOC).

The delegation made up of players and officials were escorted to their hotel following their smooth arrival for the important match.

The Esperance delegation arrived in Doha on Tuesday night for the match to be played at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium and were given a similar welcome before heading to their hotel.

The one-off annual match is organised by CAF between the winners of the previous Total CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.

The game will see Esperance, winners of the 2019 CAF Champions League, facing Zamalek, who are champions of the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup.

Doha’s hosting of the CAF Super Cup match is the second time in a row following the recent cooperation agreement between Qatar Football Association and CAF.

The CAF Super Cup 2020 will be one of three awaited versions to be hosted by Qatari capital in the coming years.

The 2020 CAF Super Cup will be the 28th edition of the one-off match.
