Enugu Rangers may have beaten CAF Confederation Cup Group A table toppers, Pyramid of Egypt 1-0 on Sunday evening, the soul lifting win was later to be rubbished when the other Egyptian side, Al Masry had a late goal to beat Mauritanian side, Nouadhibou 1-0.

Saidou Simpore scored the backbreaking goal four minutes to regulation time. With that, the Egyptian side picked an unassailable nine points, leaving Rangers with five.

The result has turned the Rangers’ home tie with Al Masry a dead rubber.
