AFTER ALMOST A MONTH, SIASIA APPEAL FUND GENERATES JUST $500

It is still a long way to go for the embattled Nigeria former international footballer and coach, Samson Siasia in his bid to raise $250,000 legal fees to get his life ban by FIFA upturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

The appeal for fund was launched on January 2, 2020.

His appeal at CAS comes up for hearing onMarch 19, 2020 at the CAS Court Office, Avenue de Beaumont 2, 1012, Lausanne, Switzerland.

As at Sunday morning, of the $250,000 he projected to raise through an American for profit funding platform, ‘GoFundMe’, only $500 has been raised.

Sports Village Square reports that there have been 13 donors so far and the first donor, Benson Ejindu made the highest contribution of $200. Next to that is the $50 made by an anonymous donor, two days ago.

Other donors include Olu Fadeyi and Olufisayo Fakunle who contributed $25 each while Femi Okundero and Lola Coker made contributions of $20 and $10 respectively.
