NIGERIAN WOMAN REFEREE, NDIDI MADU, AMONG FIFA’S ELITE REFEREES

Nigeria’s Patience Ndidi Madu is one of the 35 football referees invited for the Elite Referees for future FIFA competitions.

The referees are drawn form three confederations of CAF, Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC).

According to a release, they are expected to arrive Doha, Qatar on March 8 for medicals, while the seminar will run from 9 to 13 March.

Patience Madu is one of the eight women referees chosen from Africa and she is the only Nigerian in CAF’s 16-man list. She became a FIFA referee in 2018.
