It is already well known that Andy Ruiz Jr has shed a lot of his flabby weight as he prepares for title defence against former champion, Anthony Joshua next Saturday in Saudi Arabia.

Also, even trimmer Anthony Joshua has further slimed down as he showed off his muscle in posts on social media. According to UK’s The Sun, the former champion has shown off a “lean” new look ahead of his rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr.

The 6ft 6in Watford ace shared a picture on his Instagram looking visibly trimmer in muscle compared to his frame before being stunned by Ruiz in June.

Fans online were quick to notice AJ’s new transformation, and reckon the Londoner will have a whole different style of fighting this time around.

One said: “Looks slimmer than ever.”

Another said: “Holy s*** you got smaller.”

One commented: “I hope your new physique and possibly new style helps you.”

Joshua challenges for the unified title on December 7 in Saudi Arabia after losing his belts in New York after a round seven stoppage.

Ruiz himself shocked fans by revealing a weight transformation after claiming he wanted to drop eight pounds for the rematch having weighed in at 268lbs in the summer.

Ahead of their hotly-anticipated second instalment, Joshua has put a positive spin on his shock loss on his US debut.

Through a smirk, speaking as part of Matchroom Boxing’s JD Access All Areas series, AJ said: “It’s good that I lost because all the sparring partners have come out now.

“No one wanted to spar me before.

“I remember when Klitschko said after he lost, he said he had everybody coming to spar him because everyone wants to prove that they’re the best.

“So I said, blessing I’ve got [Carlos] Takam coming he wants to come down.

“They’re all coming to the gym now and they’re all seeing what this is about.

“I don’t want to talk too much but we’re lacing the gloves up, and when we spar there is no holding back.”
