The Enugu ‘Cathedral’ may have been desecrated as ‘Agege Temple’ boys, MFM, invaded the arena on Sunday on an apparent ‘deliverance’ service.

They succeeded with a 1-0 defeat of Enugu Rangers in their hallowed home ground that they nicknamed ‘The Cathedral’. And so, Rangers suffered a rare home defeat in a domestic competition.

Chuks Kenedinum late goal in the first half made all the difference for the MFM that have found the East a good terrain to get valuable and full points. It is the second road win against Oriental sides for MFM after earlier beating Heartland 1-0 on opening day.

Sports Village Square recalls that the MFM of Lagos defeat of Enugu Rangers 1-0 came a day after the posthumous birthday of the sage, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, after whom the ‘Enugu Cathedral’ is officially named.
