Brazil manager Tite has commented on the incident between him and Lionel Messi on Friday. According to Spanish publication, Tribuna, the two men exchanged some emotion-driven words and gestures when the coach was asking the referees to book the Argentine at a certain moment.
“I complained because Messi should have been shown a yellow card and he told me to shut my mouth and I told him to shut his mouth.
“bAnd that was it. If you don’t put in a big-time referee, Messi will swallow you. It’s a game situation. Messi is extraordinary,” said the manager without holding any grudges against Lionel.
Obviously, the pressure and fierce rivalry have angered Messi. The Barcelona forward was visibly pleased to triumph over the Brazilians and his exchange with Tite was another testament to that.
“The rivalry is there more than ever and it is always good to beat Brazil. When you win, you work better. The ideas of the coach are carried out on the pitch in another way and it is positive for what is coming,” said Messi.
