RANGERS LIMP INTO CONFEDERATION CUP GROUP STAGE
Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers survived late bombardment by Togo’s ASC Kara to get into the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday evening in Enugu.
The Nigerian side won 1-0 to get a 2-2 aggregate but moved ahead on account of the away goal they got last week in Togo.
Eziekwe Chininso scored the solitary goal on Sunday. With Rangers’ survival of Togo, Nigeria now have two teams in the second-tier continental competition.
