Nigeria may have qualified for the Round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil since last week Tuesday when they came from behind to beat Ecuador 3-2, they will wait till early Sunday morning to know their opponents.
The opponents will be one of the third placed teams in Groups A, C and D. The Group A is already conculded as New Zealand are third with three ponts.
Group C will be concluded this Saturday and a third-placed team could be either Chile or Korea Republic. Both are at the moment tied on three points.
Both have their fates in their hands as they clash this Saturday to decide the second and third positions.
Group D possible opponents for Nigeria are Japan or the United States. Current second-placed Japan will face table-toppers, Senegal at 12 midnight Nigerian time while concurrently, bottom placed and no hopers, The Netherlands will meet current third placed United States.
The eventual lucky third placed qualifier will face Nigeria atEstádio Olímpico Goiania at midnight on Tuesday and with the game finishing on Wednesday morning.
