GREAT SENEGAL! HOLD BRAZIL TO A DRAW

Published

on

Senegal showed why they are the highest rated team in Africa as they battled Brazil to a 1-1 draw in Singapore.

In fact, Senegal could have won the match that stretched into five minutes of added time as Liverpool’s talismanic player, Sadio Mane hit the goal post after the Brazilian goalkeeper, Ederson had been beaten in the added time.

Brazil were lucky not to have been beaten by Africa’s number 1.

Yet, it was the Brazilians that went into the offensive first, making effective use of their pool of talented front men.

In the 9th minute, Gabriel Jesus hanging out on the right suddenly cut in to find Firmino who got the ball past Senegal’s goalkeeper Gomis.

But almost on the dot of half time, Senegal canceled the goal from the penalty spot by Famara Diedhiou.
