D’TIGERS QUEST FOR TOKYO 2020 TICKETS BEGINS WITH IVORIAN CLASH

With medal’s hopes dashed in the ongoing FIBA World Cup in China, Nigeria’s D’Tigers have shifted attention to picking a slot for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

That quest begin with the classification match to determine the 17th  to 32nd positions of the competition in the newly created Group M which also has Korea, Cote d’Ivoire and hosts, China.

Nigeria aims to be the best classified African team to obtain the automatic ticket to the Olympics. First, the D’Tigers must beat Cote D’Ivoire on Friday in a clash that holds at Guangzhou Gymnasium.

The Nigerian team follows up with another match with China on Sunday.
