UP NIGERIA! D’TIGRESS DEVOUR SENEGAL TO RETAIN AFROBASKETBALL CROWN

Glorious ladies they are! Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress fought gamely and defeated their hosts, Senegal to retain their AfroBasket title in Dakar on Sunday night.

The Nigerians won 55-60 to retain the title at a packed Dakar Arena, defying all odds against the hosts and record 12 times winners.

…Action packed

The allure of the D’Tigress performance was that they did not lose any quarter. They win the first quarter 14-10, and fought gamely in the second quarter when the hosts suddenly jacked back to action.

But in the end, it was the Nigerian side going into half time with a 32-24 lead. They led again at the third quarter, which they won 48-37 before the nerve wrecking final quarter.
