MOHAMED, JESUS SCORE PENALTIES, BUT COMMUNITY SHIELD GOES TO CITY
Manchester City increased their silverwares after excelling via penalties in Sunday’s Community Shield match with Liverpool. Final score line was 1-1 and the tie had to be broken by penalty shootout.
In the end, Manchester City excelled 5-4 as Mohamed Salah and Gabriel Jesus scored their sides’ final goals. But it was Jesus’ kick that carried the day as it earned Manchester City 5-4 after Mohamed Salah’s kick had initially leveled scores at 4-4.
Before then, Raheem Sterlin had shot City ahead in the 12th minute before Liverpool leveled up in the 77th minute through Joel Matip.
