The official ball suppliers to the on-going Africa Cup of Nations, Umbro, are the new kit suppliers to the popular Ghanaian side, Accra Hearts of Oak.
The club’s head coach, Kim Tyrone Grant is very thrilled as the unveiling took place at the Accra Sports Stadium. He remarked that the new kits are inspirational to the club and would pave way for a new era.
Hearts of Oak are former African champions in 2000 and Confederation Cup holders in 2004. The move to get Umbro sponsorship was initiated by former Managing Director, Mark Noonan. Coach Grant, a former Black Stars’ player is optimistic that there are better things to happen for the club.
“I think it’s a beautiful kit, beautiful design, beautiful colours and it’s a new era for the football club”, he said while making a general overview of the kits.
According to him, the kits portray the professionalism of Hearts of Oak as the range of kits includes training kits, travelling kits, the bags and boots. “We are the best kitted football club in Ghana and also we are part of the international brand and we are delighted to be part of this partnership”, he remarked.
