With the results obtained in Monday in the Group D of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, www.sportsvillagesquare.com projects that the group looks likely to have a photo-finish ending on Thursday.

The Group D Table as it stands now

Ukraine beat Qatar 1-0 and looks like picking a ticket for the Round of 16 having amassed six points from two matches.

The qualification may turn a mirage should the team lose, say 1-0, to Nigeria on Thursday and USA expectedly beat Qatar by the same margin.

Such possible result will change the complexion of the top three teams, leaving only Qatar as the only confirmed eliminated side.

That will lead to a complex arithmetic with the remaining three teams all having six points apiece.

Nigeria will jump to the top with a possible three-goal credit, while the current table topper, Ukraine, drops to the third with a goal advantage. US will be second if the Americans beat Qatar by just a goal. But the team may soar higher if the goal tally of the possible defeat of Qatar is higher than two.

But in the complex possible scenario, all the three may qualify as the third-placed may rank among the best four of the six third-placed qualifiers.

Such third-place team will face either the top team from Group A or the first from Group B
