AFRICAN CHAMPION MOSES LEADS TEKENA DRONES TO MINDGAMES PREMIER SCRABBLE LEAGUE MATCHDAY TWO

The Matchday Two of the first ever Mindgames Premier Scrabble League resumes this Saturday with points hunting high on the minds of the 12 team hoping to claim glory.

Twelve teams consisting of seven players including a female each will meet at the Stonehedge Hotel in Abuja for the second leg of the rites to reach the summit of the of the league.

Table toppers Brainiacs led by Lovejoy Ogbuokiri will rely on the word power of Eta Karo, Tuoyo Mayuku with strong support other teammates to sustain their pole position in this league where a little slip could be costly with second placed Team Supreme breathing down their neck. 

The Brainiacs go into Matchday Two on the strength of the 1910 points- spread it enjoys  on Matchday One after being locked on nine wins and three defeats with closest rivals Team Supreme who also tie the league leaders on 35-25 on players score after 60 games held in Lagos last month.

Expected to also throw in some challenges during this 12 rounds of game are; Teams Hurricanes, Gracious Pickers, Olowoyeye Predators , Phoenix, Airpopper FRSC Roadies Bulldozers and Lekki Bombers.

Tekena Drones who boast of current African champion Moses Peter in their fold will hope to draw more winds to their sail in the race to the top.

The Akwa Ibomite recently found his word magic at the Mindgames Premier Championship Qualifying Tournament in Port Harcourt last weekend where he emerged as the King of the Hill.

A total prize of three million naira is on offer while the winner will get a top prize of one million naira.

Frontpage Couture, Airpop Foods and Pan Africanist Sports Agency have lend their backings to the MPSL which is the first premier league to be organised for scrabble players in the country.
