FALLOUT FROM AMAZING DEFEAT: MANCHESTER UNITED’S TACTICAL NOTE LEAKED TO BARCELONA

FC Barcelona may have benefited from the leakage of Manchester United’s tactical plan for Tuesday’s UEFA League quarterfinal clash in which the English Premiership side was handed a comprehensive 3-0 beating.

United’s manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tried to change formation during the game at Nou Camp.

According to UK’s Daily Mail, footage has emergedof Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signalling a tactical change in formation during Manchester the match by handing striker Marcus Rashford a paper note.  

The note was passed to Rashford on the field..

Rashford, after reading it, dropped it onto the turf – only for Barca keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen to pick it up and discover Solskjaer’s tactical secrets. He didn’t appear too impressed, however, chucking it back onto the pitch.


The note has been revealed, detailing Manchester United’s change in formation at Barcelona, with the names of all the players on the pitch listed in their new position

The contents of that note can also be revealed, with Solskjaer writing down the new team formation – 4-4-2. Even that tactical switch by Solskjaer could not prevent Manchester United   crashing out of the Champions League..


Rashford dropped the note to the floor after a collision with defender Gerard Pique

Lionel Messi‘s early brace had forced the United boss to change tact and move Anthony Martial up front alongside Rashford.

It didn’t work out as Philippe Coutinho added a stunning third in the second half to send Barca through to the semi-finals 4-0 on aggregate.
