NIGERIA GETS ANOTHER DATE FOR MALI CLASH

Just as Mali set up a semi final clash with Nigeria in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday, West African Football Union Zone B has set up another Nigeria-Mali clash.

The sub-regional body announced Côte d’Ivoire as host of the second edition of the (WAFU) B Women’s Cup of Nations in Abidjan in May. 

In draw made, Nigeria will face Mali and defending champions, Ghana in Group B which also has Guinea.

Hosts Cote d’Ivoire is scheduled to play in Group A alongside Benin and Senegal. Holders, Ghana have been drawn in Group B, together with Mali, Nigeria, and Guinea. 

Ghana’s Black Queens were crowned the champions of the maiden edition WAFU Zone B women’s tournament in 2018 after beating hosts Cote d’Ivoire 1-0 in the final.
