It did not turn out as easy as it initially looked, but Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu prevailed over Bantu of Lesotho to book a place in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup. Rangers won 2-1 to get a 4-2 aggregate score line.
The Nigerian side had carried a 2-1 advantage from the away duel played a week ago, but had to struggle at home as the visitors surprisingly took a 13th minute lead.
The homeboys rallied back to level scores when Emmanuel Olulesi put a pass through to Ajani Ibrahim in the 19th minute. Minutes later, Godwin Aguda got the second goal for Rangers to take his total in the competition to five.
