The recent transfer of Kano Pillars’ striker, Junior Lokosa, to Esperance of Tunisia may open the doors for him to get entrenched in the Super Eagles. Coach Gernot Rohr told Radio France that if the player who led goal chart in the domestic league is able to prove himself in Tunisia, his chances in the Super Eagles would increase.
On Monday, the player who scored 19 goals last season made a switch from the Nigerian league to Tunisia.
Lokosa, who many Nigerians felt should have been included in the Russia 2018 squad, was a last minute dropout from the final list of 23.
“Signing for Esperance of Tunisia is good for his career and that will help improve in his goal ability. Lokosa is a good player but only good outing with Esperance of Tunisia will determine his return to the Super Eagles,” he remarked. Esperance FC are the defending champion of the CAF Champions League.
