SIERRA LEONE’S OUSTER OFFERS AUTOMATIC AFCON 2019 TICKETS TO KENYA AND GHANA

Relief came the way of Ghana’s Black Stars as CAF has now kicked out Sierra Leone from the qualifying series of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations following protracted FIFA ban.

Sierra Leone had not been able to honour their last three fixtures. Before their exclusion, Ghana had been struggling to make the cut to the tournament they last won in 1982.

The results of Sierra Leone’s two games played so far – against Kenya (2-1 win) and Ethiopia (1-0 defeat) – have been nullified, leaving only three teams in the group.

With the cancellation of the matches, and with just three teams remaining in the Group F series, Kenya leads the pack and followed by Ghana.

Ethiopia, the other team in the group stands eliminated. Kenya and Ghana will meet in the last match day in March.
