He noted that he was aware that he was being referred to as “Technical Adviser”. His understanding of such designation was that he was to merely offer advice, which is subject to acceptance, while another person or persons take the decision concerning the handling of the Super Eagles.

“In my new contract with the NFF, my designation is Coach of the Super Eagles”, he revealed.

Rohr told the gathering at the session which was streamed live by hotsportsTV on different social media platforms, that he has so far enjoyed his relationship with his bosses at the Nigeria Football Federation.

“So far, no body has influenced the call-up or inclusion of a player in the team. There is a technical committee. The only time I had issues with the committee was after our loss at home to South Africa last year. But that has since been sorted out.”

He said further that as stated in his contract, he submits his list to the committee, but they have never declined assent to any. He disclosed that even though he is the coach of the Super Eagles, he puts his eyes on what happens in the other national teams since he could also draw talents from them and also offer advices to the handlers.
