RONALDO IS ONE OF THE ALL-TIME GREATS, SAYS MOURINHO
Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo will be having a double ‘meet again’ when his side faces Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League. He will be returning to face his old club at Old Trafford where his Champions’ League exploits started.
He will be facing his old club for the first time in five years.
He will also be facing Manchester United’s coach, Jose Mourinho, who was also his coach for some time when both were in Real Madrid.
On Monday, Jose Mourinho referred to Ronaldo as one of football’s all-time greats.
”Cristiano is one of the best players of all time,’ Mourinho said. ‘And nobody can tell different than that, he’s one of the best players of all time.’
Ronaldo and Juventus trained in Turin before flying to Manchester in the afternoon.
The 33-year-old has scored five goals in 10 games so far for Juventus since his £100m move from Real Madrid.
He was sent off in their first Champions League group match against Valencia and served a one-match ban, missing the victory over Swiss side Young Boys.
Ronaldo returns to the fold in Europe’s elite club competition with Juventus first in Group H, having won both their games so far.
