Aiteo Cup finalists, Kano Pillars who have camped in Benin City since Friday for intensive camping at the sports complex of University of Benin are expected to leave the ancient city this Monday for Asaba, the venue for the Aiteo Cup final.
More than ever before, Kano Pillars are on a solid ground to win the national cup for the first time ever. Talk about motivation and incentives the club has a very high dosage.
After qualifying to the final match, the Kano State Government, owners of the club, settled all the match bonuses and outstanding allowances due to the players to motivate them to win the cup.
It is the desire of the club to feature in the continental contest next season and winning the Aiteo Cup is the only way Kano Pillars can feature in the CAF Confederation Cup.
As the season comes to an end, no player or member of the technical crew is being owed. To further motivate the team, their delegation to the Aiteo Cup camping is led by the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.

Immediately when the players arrived in Benin, the Deputy Governor addressed them and charged them to be focused on the task ahead and also assured them that government and people of Kano State are behind them.
Thousands of club supporters including the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje are expected in Asaba on Wednesday to cheer the team for victory.
