‘All work and no play could make Ronaldo’, a dull man seemed to have played out as the embattled Portugal and Juventus striker took time out to unwind with his supportive partner, Georgina Rodriguez, after a meeting with his lawyers.
According to London Daily Mail, Ronaldo took time out to enjoy some romantic downtime on a rooftop terrace with his supportive girlfriend after flying to his homeland, Lisbon in Portugal, for a ‘secret meeting’ with his lawyers.

The Juventus footballer, who is facing a new US police investigation over 2009 rape claims, which he strongly denies, was filmed looking happy and cheerful as partner Georgina Rodriguez lovingly stroked his hair at the Sky Bar at Lisbon’s Tivoli Hotel.
The 33-year-old footballer jetted to the Portuguese capital on Sunday by private jet despite, being left out of the squad for the national team’s games against Poland and Scotland later this week.
Leading Portuguese daily Correio da Manha said he made the trip – a day after scoring for new side Juventus in their 2-0 win against Udinese – for a ‘secret meeting’ with his lawyers.
The paper said the player was ‘determined to thoroughly prepare his defence’ against Kathryn Mayorga’s claims he raped her at a Las Vegas hotel in 2009 after inviting her to his penthouse suite.
After sitting at the Sky bar, Cristiano Ronaldo and girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, left with friend Ricky Regufe and bodyguard Goncalo Salgado.
He has already claimed the allegations are ‘fake news’ and described rape as an ‘abominable crime’.
His mum Dolores and sister Katia came out in support of him on social media yesterday by posting pictures of the footballer in a Superman cape and issuing matching messages which read: ‘I want to see who has the courage to put this photo on their profile for a week and make a chain for him.’
Las Vegas police have confirmed they have reopened an investigation stemming from a 2009 complaint from a woman who says she was raped by Cristiano.
Ms Mayorga alleges she reached a £287,000 settlement with Ronaldo in 2010 in exchange for her silence before the original police allegation was dropped.
Ronaldo’s agency Gestifute declined to comment about the reported lawyers’ meeting, said to have lasted for several hours.
After the meeting the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star headed for the Sky Bar in Lisbon with his bodyguard Goncalo Salgado and the Spanish beauty Georgina, who was herself in the headlines recently after it emerged her dad, Jorge, is a convicted drugs baron.
Salgado, an MMA fighter who kept Ronaldo safe at last year’s Champions League final in Kiev, kept a close watch on the footballer in Lisbon along with four other security guards.
The other person pictured sitting by their table, and described only as Ricky, was thought to be close friend and right-hand man Ricky Regufe.
It was not immediately clear how long the couple will stay in Lisbon and whether they plan to travel to Ronaldo’s native island of Madeira for a family reunion before returning to Italy.
It was announced last week Ronaldo would not be included in the squad for Portugal’s games against Poland on Thursday and Scotland on Sunday after a meeting between the player, his coach Fernando Santos and the Portuguese Football Federation president, Fernando Gomes.
The decision was said to have been made by ‘mutual consent’.
Cristiano has also been ruled out of Portugal’s games in November, against Poland again and Italy.
His next club game is on October 20, at home to Genoa.
The Sky Bar bills itself as Lisbon’s favourite rooftop bar as the 9th floor venue, popular with locals and tourists, is near to the penthouse apartment Ronaldo owns in the capital.
