Nigeria’s s D’Tigress may have crashed out of title contention at the FIBA Women’s World Cup ending in Tenerife, Spain on Sunday; they have made valuable mark in the competition.

Not only were they the first African team to win a match at the competition, they went as far as winning three – against teams higher ranked than them.

Records show that Nigeria’s Evelyn Akhator has made three double-doubles in the tournament, more than any other player.

She is also the player with the most minutes played in the 2018 World Cup (157 minutes). She possibly still has another match on Sunday in the battle for the seventh place which Nigeria will play against either Canada or China.
