NIGERIA’S D’TIGRESS FACE GREECE FOR QUARTERFINALS SLOT

In Tenerife, Spain, the impressive Nigerian women’s basketball team, D’Tigress returns to the Santa Cruz arena in their march to the final stages of the 2018 FIBA Women’s World Cup as they face Greece in play-off.

D’Tigress placed second in Group B while Greece were third in Group A. But unlike in football where top two teams automatically move to the quarter finals in a four-group tournament, only the group leaders have the advantage in FIBA.

The second and third placed teams go into play off to fight their ways into the quarter finals.

Nigeria will therefore face Greece at 2pm local time in the quest for a position in Friday’s quarter final games.
