The date of the first of the back-to-back Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match with Libya has changed.
The match originally scheduled for Wednesday October 10 will now hold two days later.
However, the venue still remains the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, in Kaduna. A credible source in the Nigeria Football Federation had initially hinted www.sportsvillagesquare.com of the possibility of proposing a new date for logistic reasons.
The return leg which also had a change in venue, will hold in Tunisia instead of Algeria where the Algerian coach of Libya, Adel Amrouche had proposed. The return leg holds on Monday October 15 at a yet to be decided stadium.
While Nigeria play their matchday 3 Group E match on October 12, the corresponding match of South Africa hosting Seychelles will hold a day later, possibly giving rivals, South Africa a target advantage.
The match officials for the Nigeria-Libya match are from DR Congo. The referee is Jean-Jacques Ndala Ngambo . His assistants are Olivier Safari Kabene and Nabina Blaise Sebutu.
