ASSOCIATION OF SPORTS VETERANS CONGRATULATES PINNICK ON RE-ELECTION
Chief Jonathan Ogufere, former president of West African Football Union, WAFU, who is also the president of the Association of Sports Veterans, Nigeria has on behalf of the veterans of Nigerian sports congratulated Amajuoritse Melvin Pinnick on his re-election as the president of the Nigeria Football Federation.
Chief Ogufere remarked that he was even more impressed by the spirit of sportsmanship displayed by the delegates, especially the contestants whose aspirations were not met.
This is a pointer to the direction of togetherness that the sports veterans have always preached. “I am impressed by the ‘no winner; no vanquished’ stance of the re-elected president of NFF”, remarked Chief Ogufere who was also at a time, a chieftain of the then Nigeria Football Association.
He called on all football stakeholders to rally round so that Nigerian football will always be the winner.
