BY MUYIWA AKINTUNDE.
Group B: Burkina Faso v Côte d’Ivoire (both 4pm)
Although the Nigeria Golden Eaglets are not playing, Nigerian will pay attention to Burkina Faso v Côte d’Ivoire match despite not being in the fixture.
The outcome will determine which other team will accompany the Golden Eaglets to the semi-finals of the tournament whose champions will feature in next year’s continental championship in Tanzania.
Given their three points and plus three-goal advantage, Nigeria have pulled through to the last four of the zonal competition.
If the Burkinabe win or draw this evening, they will top the group with Nigeria as runners-up.
If the Ivorien however record as much as a three-goal margin over Burkina Faso, it will be Nigeria winning the group with Côte d’Ivoire coming along to the last four.
