VIDEO: FIFA EXTENDS BY 45 DAYS, PROVISIONAL SUSPENSION OF NYANTAKYI

Almost as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Committee on Ethics and Fair Play placed a one year ban and a $5,000 on Coach Salisu Yusuf, FIFA has further extended by 45 days, the provisional suspension placed on former Ghana FA and 1st Vice President of CAF, Kwesi Nyantaksy who was sanctioned in June.

An initial 90-day suspension was placed on the former Ghana official who was also a victim in the famed ‘Anas Expose’.

 

In a media statement, FIFA reports that ‘the chairperson has decided to extend this provisional suspension for an additional period of 45 days. During this time, Mr. Nyantakyi will continue to be banned from all football-related activities at both national and international level. The extension of the ban will commence on 6 September 2018.

“This decision was taken at the request of the chairperson of the investigatory chamber of the Ethics Committee carrying out the formal investigation proceedings into Mr. Nyantakyi, pursuant to art. 85 par. 1 of the FIFA Code of Ethics.
