AT LAST, EMERY’S ARSENAL GET POINTS!

Unai Umery can at least smile as Arsenal came from behind to beat West Ham United 3-1 at Emirates Stadium for their first points of the season.

Marko Arnautovic had put the Hammers in front when he played a one-two with Felipe Anderson and struck from the edge of the box.

Nacho Monreal equalised for the home side when Hector Bellerin’s cross hit Alex Iwobi and fell for the Spaniard to score from close range.

West Ham’s Robert Snodgrass then sent a great chance straight at Petr Cech and, after Arnautovic went off injured, Arsenal took advantage.

Substitute Alexandre Lacazette’s cross went in off Issa Diop for an own goal on the defender’s Premier League debut.

Danny Welbeck converted Bellerin’s cross in stoppage time to confirm the win that lifts Arsenal up to 11th. West Ham are bottom after a third consecutive defeat.
