THREE UNCAPPED PLAYERS MAKE ROHR’S ARMY FOR SEYCHELLES’ INVASION

Nigeria’s manager, Gernot Rohr has named three debutants in his 24-man team that will travel next month to face Seychelles in the matchday 2 of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The coach on Friday released a 24-man list and another four-man list of players put on stand-by.

The new comers are Semi Ajayi of Rotherham United in England and Jamilu Collins of SC Padeborn 07 in Germany as well as Samuel Kalu of Borddeaux, France.

They join the previously invited players. The full list runs thus:

Goalkeepers: Francis Uzoho (Deportivo La Coruna (Spain), Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United, South Africa) and Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Enyimba).

Defenders: Olaoluwa Aina (Torino, Italy), Bryan Idowu (Lokomotiv Moscow, Russia), Chidozie Awaziem (FC Porto, Portugal), William Troos-Ekong (Udinese, Italy), Leon Balogun (Brighton & Hove Albion, England), Kenneth Omeruo (CD Leganes, Spain), Semi Ajayi (Rotherham United, England) and Jamilu Collins (SC Padeborn 07, Germany).

Midfielders: Onazi Ogenyi (Trabzonspor, Turkey), Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England), Etebo Oghenekaro ( Stoke City, England), John Ogu ( Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel), Joel Obi (AC Chievo Verona, Italy) and Kelechi Nwakali ( FC Porto, Portugal).

Forwards: Ahmed Musa (Al-Nassar, Saudi Arabia), Kelechi Iheanacho ( Leicester City, England), Odion Ighalo (Changchun Yatai, China), Alex Iwobi (Arsenal, England), Simeon Nwankwo (Crotone, Italy), Samuel Kalu (Bordeaux, France) and Henry Onyekuru (Galatasaray S. K (Turkey).

On the stand-by are Uche Agbo of Standard Liege of Belgium, Eze Stephen of Lokomotiv Plovdiv of Bulgaria, Musa Muhammed of HNK Gorica, Croatia and Blessinf Eleke of FC Luzern of Switzerland).
