BY KUNLE SOLAJA.

Retired Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme could have been part of the coaching crew to Victoria, the capital city of the Indian Ocean archipelago state of Seychelles but for the long haul the trip entails.

According to the coach, a direct flight from the UK base of Carl Ikeme will see him airborne for 10 hours continuously which is not ideal for someone who just recovered from an ailment.

The coach thanked the NFF for accepting to get Ikeme trained as a goalkeeper trainer and offering him a role in the technical crew of the Super Eagles.

Carl Ikeme, who came as an immediate replacement for the 101 capped Vincent Enyeama, made 10 appearances for Nigeria before his career was cut short by leukaemia.
