SUPER EAGLES MAY RETURN TO AHMADU BELLO STADIUM, KADUNA

There are indications that the Super Eagles may return to the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna as the next qualifying matches for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations are about to resume.

The Super Eagles last played at the arena on in March 29, 2016 in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations’ duel with Egypt. Before then, the team had laboured to a 2-0 defeat against Niger Republic on September 8, 2015, but the result was nullified following Niger’s withdrawal from the competition.

According to a press release by the Media Department of the NFF, Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, on Wednesday inspected the newly –renovated Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna as preparations begin in earnest for the remaining matches of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.
