NIGERIA TABLE TENNIS CHIEF, TIKON PROMISES THE BEST OF THE SPORT

The President of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF), Ishaku Tikon, has promised fans to see the best of table tennis as the  the ITTF Seamaster Nigeria Open serves off this Wednesday in Lagos.

He made the statement at the tournament’s pre-press conference which held at the Molade Okoya Thomas Hall in Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The NTTF President, who said he was impressed with the standard of the organisation of the event, gave kudos to the International Table Tennis Federation for always putting things in place to support Nigeria.

Hear the tennis boss: “From 2013 to now, there have been tremendous improvement from the standards of play, and this has been as a result of hard-work put together by the LOC.

“We must also thank ITTF because they’ve always been putting us right, to have it right.”

Ishaku, who charged fans to come out en-masse to support the local players, added, “This year, we will see the best of table tennis.”

The Nigeria Open is a table tennis tournament for men and women across the globe, with over 160 table tennis players, from 28 countries expected to grace this year’s event.
