ABIA WARRIORS’ CHAIRMAN, INYAMA GOES INTO POLITICS
The chairman of Nigeria Professional Football League side, Chief Emeka Inyama has thrown his hat into the political ring.
In a message to www.sportsvillagesquare.com, he informed that he is joining the race into the Federal House of Representatives on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
The journalist turned sports administrator said he has declared to run for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.
Since leaving active journalism some years ago, Inyama had been a sports marketer, a role he performed with the organising body of the 2003 All Africa Games in Abuja.
He was also a former commissioner for Sports in Abia State before heading the organisers of Nigeria’s second tier football league – a platform he used to become a member of the Nigeria Football Federation.
