Nigeria’s manager, Gernot Rohr was among the eminent coaches of the world who gave pep talk to global audience and fans who will be attending the 64 matches of the World Cup in Russia.
In a pep talk given as if the players were about to emerge from the tunnel, some of the coaching staff of the teams in the 2018 FIFA World Cup gave important advice to the lucky fans that will follow and be a part of – all the football action in Russia.
The advice offered have been uploaded by FIFA on its website. Nigeria’s manager, Rohr was particularly distinguished as he spoke on area most other coaches ignored. Rohr told world fans to pay attention to prohibited items and that they should remember they cannot re-enter the match venues and then re-enter.
Other world coaches that spoke include Argentina’s team manager and former World Cup player, Jorge Burruchaga; Brazil’s head coach, Tite; England’s Gareth Southgate, Didier Deschamps, the French head coach and former World Cup winner as well as Heimir Hallgrímsson of Iceland.
FIFA in the video clip also advised against discrimination among the fans. A photo clip of a Nigerian kid fan and that of Spain was used to drive home the point.
The coaches while praising the fact that it was not easy for the fans to “get there”, they remind ticket holders of the most important things they need to know to make the best of this big moment, such as bringing their FAN IDs, taking public transport and arriving early at the stadium.
