Bursaspor defender, William Troost-Ekong, has expressed delight after scoring his first international goal for Nigeria in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against DR Congo on Monday.

He has gleefully dedicated goal to his unborn baby boy. Just as Brazil’s Bebeto did at the USA 94 World Cup celebrating Brazil’s goals with gesticulations of rocking a baby, Troost-Ekong did the same, tucking the ball under his shirt to celebrate his pregnant wife and also tucking his thumb into his mouth to gesticulate baby-feeding.
His goal gave the Super Eagles the lead in the 15th minute from a clever free-kick taken by Ogenyi Onazi, and celebrated it in style by loading the ball on his tummy under his shirt – ostensibly forming a dummy of a pregnancy currently nurturing his expected baby boy.
Troost-Ekong who unveiled his pregnant wife during Kenneth Omeruo’s wedding party few weeks ago, twitted “Happy with my first international goal. This one is for my boy. Thanks for all your support!”
