An Argentine media outfit, TyCSports is delighted over the injury blow on the Super Eagles which has led to the exclusion of Moses Simon from the World Cup-bound squad.

According to the media outfit, Nigeria, “the African squad will be low in potency at the World Cup following the exclusion of Moses Simon who scored the Nigerian only goal against Cameroon in Yaoundé and offered the assist that resulted in the third of the 4-0 defeat inflicted on the African champions in Uyo last September.

The publication went on to report that “Argentina’s rival in the group stage of the World Cup, lost one of its most important attackers…”  Quoting the Super Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr: “Moses is injured and our medical staff says he will be out for at least three or four weeks.”

TyCSports reports that Moses, 22, was the fourth player with the most minutes played in the African qualifiers for Nigeria and was also the second highest scorer of the team.
